Jet lag is common in every person who traveled abroad, it doesn’t mean you can underestimate it. Jet lag should be aware, especially for those who are often assigned to work in another country with different time far enough.
Symptoms that arise when a person is experiencing jet lag include fatigue, headaches, dehydration, irritability and difficult to sleep and to concentrate. This happens because the body tries to adapt to the time difference from where we used to live. If the symptoms are too often you experience, the impact will be not good for health.
But don’t worry, because there are several ways to overcome or prevent jet lag. Here are six tips you can do before and during flight.
1. Adjusting Mealtime
Eat breakfast, lunch and dinner according to local time you want to go. May feel less comfortable when had to swap dinner with breakfast, but adjust the hours to eat a few days before the flight will allow you to adapt to the destination.
2. The Right Food Consumption
Some nutritionists recommend the consumption of foods high in protein, low carbohydrate, low in calories and contain less sodium and fat. Eat fewer carbohydrates and calories to prevent weight lethargic, while proteins can increase energy.
3. Expand Rest
You should not go out at night the day before the flight. If forced to go out at night, try not too much to drink alcoholic beverages. Reduce consumption is also a coffee or caffeinated beverages. Lack of sleep before flying can increase the symptoms of jet lag. Make sure you get enough sleep and rest.
4. Drink Lots of Water White
Simply drinking water can prevent you become dehydrated during the flight.
5. Do Stretching
During the journey, a time to yourself to get up from chair to stretch the leg muscles, arms, back and neck. Stretching also makes the body more relaxed.
