Q: What does "This is a Seated Event" mean? Is there a chair I can sit in at other events?
A: All events are General Admission on a first come basis through the door. For most of our shows limited seating is available. The type of performance dictates the number of seats and seating arrangements. However, some of our shows are Seated Events, which means that the show is 100% seated, but where that seat is depends upon what time you get to the show. Please check the individual show information for the type of seating available and door times. We do not reserve seats in advance, nor do we sell tickets based on seat numbers. You choose & reserve your seat once you enter the venue the night of the show. If you have any question or concerns about a specific event capacity, seating arrangement or ticketing, please call our venue Box Office at (843) 842-0358.
Q: What time do you open and what time is the show?
A: While the Ocean Center opens at 11 AM seven days a week, the doors for shows at the Shoreline Ballroom are at 7 PM on days of performances. This means at 7 PM you can enter the venue, find a place to sit/stand and get ready for the show. The actual show time for events vary, depending on the day of the week, the number of acts on the show and the wishes of the artists. These times are subject to change, but range anywhere from 8 PM to 11 PM. To find out exactly, you can try calling the box office the day of the performance at 843-842-0358.
Q: How do I get tickets?
A: You can purchase tickets right off our website or by visiting etix.com. You can also call our box office at 843-842-0358 or come by the Ocean Center any time during operating hours. The box office is open from 9AM to 4PM. After 4PM, tickets are available at The Zone Sports Bar or at one of our ticket outlets - Street Meet and Loose Lucy's in Hilton Head, and Bacchus Wine Bar in Savannah.
Q: What are your age requirements?
A: There is no limit on how old you can be, but we do not admit babes in arms; you must be able to walk in with a ticket to attend the show (unless otherwise noted). You must be 21 to drink and minors should be accompanied by their parent or guardian.
Q: What happens if I buy a ticket but don't come to the show?
A: All sales are final except if the headliner cancels the performance. In that event, refunds are available through our box office - 843-842-0358.
Q: Do you serve drinks at all events?
A: We have a 56 foot long full-service art-deco bar. Provided that you are 21 years of age you may purchase drinks until last call. The staff will let you know when it’s last call. If you are not 21, you will be marked appropriately. Beverages are also served at The Zone Sports Bar and Beach Billiards located at the Ocean Center.
Q: Do you serve food?
A: A full menu of food is available on the premises through the Ocean Center.
Q: Where can I smoke?
A: There is no smoking inside any facility on Hilton Head Island. However, there is ample space for smoking on our expansive deck.
Q: Can I record the show or take pictures?
A: All performances and acts are different, so we do not know beforehand. For information it is best to call the box office at 843-842-0358 the afternoon of the show. For individuals with legitimate press credentials, contact Melissa Koch at 843-689-9009 at least one week before the show.
Q: How do we get booked?
A: The booking for all National Acts (those who are touring nationally and represented by an agency) is handled by Jonathan Dunagin of Lighthouse Entertainment.

Q: I’m not in a national act. What should I do?
A: If you are interested in having your band perform at the Shoreline Ballroom, please send an EPK to lighthousebooking@live.com. On occasion we book local support for shows, but have found that many national touring acts bring their own support. We cannot accept demo packages in the regular mail. If you are interested in opening for a specific act, email us your request with any and all information pertinent to that booking. Please include anything you can think of that would make us want to book you, from information on previous bookings, to style of music, to press write-ups, etc. We try to read them all, but it is impossible to answer every booking request personally. One way to get our attention is by making a name for yourself around town. Our staff and friends frequent local venues, festivals and events, and if we see you and and like what you've got, we'll remember you.
Q: Are you for rent?
A: The Shoreline Ballroom is available for private events and functions. We can help you plan all aspects of your event including entertainment purchasing, drink and food specials, and production. Contact Jonathan Dunagin by phone at 843-301-5803 or by email at lighthousebooking@live.com.
